Design and Comparison of Controllers for Speed Control of BLDC Motor

Abstract

The aim of the project is to find best speed controllers for BLDC motor. Speed control of BLDC motor is essential for making the motor work at desired rate. Windup or rollover arise in a PI controller working under saturation. Hence Anti-Windup schemes are necessary to minimize performance degradation. Neural Network are computing systems with interconnected nodes that work much like neurons in the human brain. Using algorithms, they can recognize hidden patterns and correlations in raw data, cluster and classify it, and over time continuously learn and improve. We are comparing the speed controller of BLDC motor with PI controller, Anti windup PI controller and Artificial neural link controller with each other. In this project, we have  design and simulate mathematical model of BLDC motor with controllers on MATLAB/Simulink platform.
