Abstract

In Cuban universities, there is a need for spaces where students and professors can obtain information on topics of interest and not necessarily in person. In response to this, virtual libraries and repositories of digital resources are created.
This article focuses on the design and implementation of a 2.0 library for the library of the Agrarian University of Havana that integrates bVirtual and eBiblio platforms through the use of open source technologies and services. For the development and design of the 2.0 library, after a great analysis of the existing technologies in the world, it was decided to use an application based on web services, where it was used for the work in the back-end Spring Framework, a JAVA framework and for the work in the front-end AngularJS a JavaScript framework developed by Google and with a large development community. In addition, it was decided to use Spring Boot which is a tool that was born with the aim of further simplifying the development of applications based on Spring Core Framework.
Library 2.0 incorporates a social network and a recommendation system using the K-Neighest Neighbors algorithm, allowing users to share and customize their information that would enable the use of collective intelligence.

Keyphrases: Library 2.0, Recommendation System, Spring Boot, k-nearest neighbors, social network
