The 30th China Conference on Information Retrieval (CCIR2024)
Call for Papers
Information retrieval aims to meet the human need for fast and accurate access to information and knowledge on the Internet. Research outcomes will support national strategic decision-making, promote the development of the Internet and artificial intelligence fields, enhance the overall productivity of society, and have a significant impact on various aspects of social life. The National Conference on Information Retrieval (CCIR), organized by the Chinese Information Processing Society of China (CIPS), has grown alongside China's Internet industry and is the flagship Chinese conference in the field of information retrieval.
The 30th China Conference on Information Retrieval (CCIR 2024) will be held in Wuhan from October 18th to 20th, 2024. The conference is hosted by the CIPS and organized by the Information Retrieval Committee of CIPS and Wuhan University.
The conference will include a series of academic activities, such as keynote speeches by well-known scholars from home and abroad, conference paper presentations, poster sessions, evaluation activities, as well as organizing a Young Scholars Forum and advanced workshops on hot research topics. The conference will also invite some authors from related international journals and conferences (e.g., TOIS, SIGIR, WWW, WSDM, CIKM) for paper exchanges.
The conference accepts papers in both Chinese and English, welcoming original academic papers on concepts, algorithms, systems, standards, and evaluations in information retrieval. Papers generated by AI models will not be accepted. Accepted Chinese papers will be recommended for publication in core journals like "Chinese Journal of Computers" (CCF recommended Chinese A-category journal), "Journal of Computer Research and Development" (CCF recommended Chinese A-category journal), "Journal of Chinese Information Processing" (CCF recommended Chinese B-category journal), "Computer Engineering and Applications", "Journal of Computer Science and Exploration", "Journal of South China University of Technology (Natural Science Edition)", "Journal of Shandong University", "Journal of Shanxi University", and more than ten other core journals. Accepted English papers will be published by Springer LNCS (EI indexed). The conference will also award prizes for outstanding papers.
Topics included but are not limited to:
- Search and ranking, including query analysis, WEB retrieval, retrieval models, effectiveness and scalability, information retrieval theory, etc.;
- Recommendation systems, including filtering algorithms, content analysis, knowledge acquisition, etc.;
- Machine learning and natural language processing in retrieval and recommendation, including intelligent Q&A, dialogue systems, semantic understanding, knowledge representation and reasoning, etc.;
- Human-computer interaction, including user modeling, interactive retrieval, social media retrieval, privacy and security, user behavior analysis, etc.;
- Metrics and evaluation in information retrieval, including user-centered and system-centered evaluations;
- Fairness, reliability, transparency, and interpretability in information retrieval;
- Applications in vertical domains, including mobile search, social search, structured data search, multimodal search;
- Applications in other fields including healthcare, judiciary, education, etc.;
- Research related to large models and information retrieval, including retrieval-enhanced large models, applications of large models in the retrieval field, etc.;
- Other research related to information retrieval.
Submission Requirements:
Papers submitted to CCIR 2024 must be unpublished and must not be under review by other conferences or journals.
- Chinese paper formatting should follow the "Journal of Chinese Information Processing" (template available). All papers accepted by CCIR 2024 will be distributed to participants in the form of an abstract collection. Chinese paper template link

信息检索旨在满足人类在互联网上快速准确地获取信息与知识的需求，研究成果将支撑国家战略决策，推动互联网和人工智能领域的发展，提升整个社会的生产效率，并对社会生活各个领域产生重大影响。全国信息检索学术会议（CCIR）由中国中文信息学会（CIPS) 举办，一路伴随着中国互联网产业的成长，是信息检索领域的旗舰会议。
第三十届全国信息检索学术会议（The 30th China Conference on Information Retrieval, CCIR 2024）将于2024年10月18-20在武汉举行，此次会议由中国中文信息学会主办，由中国中文信息学会信息检索专委会、武汉大学承办。
会议包含一系列学术活动，除传统的海内外知名学者的大会报告、会议论文报告、Poster交流、评测活动外，还将组织青年学者论坛以及面向热点研究问题的前沿讲习班等。大会也将邀请部分相关国际期刊与会议(如TOIS / SIGIR / WWW / WSDM/ CIKM )的作者交流论文。
本次会议接收中英文论文，将接收原创的有关信息检索方向的理念、算法、系统、标准与评估等方面的学术论文。主体内容由人工智能模型自动生成的论文不予接收。录取的中文论文将会推荐到《计算机学报》（CCF推荐中文A类期刊）、《计算机研究与发展》（CCF推荐中文A类期刊）、《中文信息学报》（CCF推荐中文B类期刊）、《计算机工程与应用》和《计算机科学与探索》、《华南理工大学学报（自然科学版）》、《山东大学学报》、《山西大学学报》等十余种核心期刊的正刊发表，录取的英文论文将由Springer LNCS出版 (EI收录)。会议还将评出优秀论文奖项等。
征文范围包括但不限于以下内容：

征文要求：
投稿到CCIR 2024的稿件必须是未公开发表过的，并且不能同时被投稿到其他会议和期刊的中英文论文。
中文论文格式要求参照中文信息学报（论文模板）。所有被CCIR 2024录用的论文将以论文摘要集的形式发放给与会者。中文论文模板链接
