The third CCC conference will revolve around concepts of meaning and content and - traditionally - around the issue of representing contexts and context-dependence.
The purpose of the CCC conferences is to provide a platform for philosophers, linguists and cognitive scientists for discussing issues connected with the phenomenon of context dependence, general semantics and pragmatics and theories of concepts and theoreis of mind and agency. The topics may include, but are not limited to, the issue of formal representations of context and conversational dynamics, topics in logic and semantics of indexicals and demonstratives, theories of linguistic and mental content, theories of meaning, the impact of contexts on propositional attitude attributions etc.
We are especially interested in foundational philosophical questions and issues.
Submission Guidelines
We invite submissions for 45 minute talks and/or for the poster session. A one-page abstract of maximum 500 words should be submitted through the EasyChair website by the 9th of February 2020 (extended!). The abstract, in the pdf format, should be prepared for a blind peer review.
The authors are kindly asked to indicate (in the abstract) if they are applying for the regular session only, poster session only or for either of them.
List of Topics
We invite papers falling in the areas of philosophy of language, philosophy of mind and psychology, philosophy of action, epistemology, natural language semantics and pragmatics, semiotics (as understood in the Morris-Carnap tradition), formal philosophy and philosophical logic.
