About Book
Due to diminishing fossil fuel resources and environmental concerns, extensive research is conducted on renewable energy generation and consumption. Hydrogen will play a significant role as a carbon-free energy transporter in a world where greenhouse emissions are strictly regulated. In the power industry, depending on the mechanism of H2 production, it can be used as a gas turbine fuel in various circumstances. Hydrogen, for example, can be created remotely from renewable energy sources (solar or wind) or nuclear energy via direct thermal conversion or electrolysis. Still, it will be derived from traditional fossil fuels through conversion procedures that include CO2 sequestration. As the world progresses smoothly and rapidly towards a hydrogen era, all issues surrounding the use of hydrogen-fueled power generation must be addressed. Any new development in the field would provide electricity at lower costs and help better the lives/health of humanity. Thus, there is enough motivation for collecting and compiling the research & developments highlighting the issues involved in hydrogen-fueled power generation systems.
“Prospects of Hydrogen Fueled Power Generation” is an edited book that explores state-of-the-art hydrogen energy systems, which comprises the technologies for the production, utilization, storage, and distribution of hydrogen for power generation and automotive applications. It deals with the set of state-of-the-art thermodynamic modeling, analysis, and optimization methods for creating an effective large-scale hydrogen gas turbine combustor that uses a mix of LNG hydrogen-fueled power generation systems. The book takes on energetic and exegetic analysis and associated modeling and simulation to update system design and performance of 100 % H2 firing in gas turbine-based power generation arrangements.
The book is likely to be suitable for engineers, academicians, and researchers who are either directly working in the power generation industry or who wish to gain an insight into the basics of hydrogen-fueled power generation and advances in this field.
