ArtSearch2024: ArtSearch Symposium 2024 ligeti zentrum, Veritaskai 1 21079 Hamburg-Harburg, Germany, October 24-26, 2024

The ligeti center is organizing the international symposium ArtSearch from October 24 to October 26, 2024. We invite international artists and researchers to apply and participate. This year's symposium will focus on Artistic Intelligence. ArtSearch was launched at the HfMT Hamburg in 2016 and was held for the second time in 2020. The third symposium in 2024 will once again aim to bring researchers and artists together to discuss current developments in the field of artistic research.  The ligeti center, located in Hamburg Harburg, was founded as a joint project by the Hamburg University of Music and Drama (HfMT), the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH), the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW) and the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE). It operates as a knowledge translation project at the intersection between art and science.

Registration Guidelines

You can register as an active or passive attendee. Active participants also submit their application anonymously under "submission". After completing the form, you will receive a confirmation email and an invoice from the HfMT Hamburg. Registration deadline: September 15, 2024. Submission Guidelines

All abstracts must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following categories are welcome:

• Long paper presentation: Please upload an abstract (word documents, max. 3,000 characters in total) of the paper anonymously to EasyChair. Long paper presentations takte 30min. Please note that the number of long papers is limited and that you may be asked to present a short paper instead of a long paper, if your submission is accepted. Papers will be presented in English.
• Short paper presentation: Please upload an abstract (word documents or PDF, max. 3,000 characters in total) of the paper anonymously to EasyChair. Short paper presentations takte 20min. Please note that the number of long papers is limited and that you may be asked to present a short paper instead of a long paper, if your submission is accepted. Papers will be presented in English.
• Workshop presentation: Please upload a summary of the workshop proposal (word documents or PDF, max. 3,000 characters in total) anonymously to EasyChair. Please include links of work samples of similar formats in the summary. A workshop should be 45-90 minutes in length. Workshops will be held in English.
• Music/performances: Please upload a concept or a summary (word documents or PDF, max. 3,000 characters in total) with links to three short work samples (audio, video, scores, etc.) anonymously to EasyChair. A musical contribution should be between 10 and 20 minutes long.
