Submission Guidelines

All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome:

• 1. Eligibility

• Ensure that your work aligns with the conference theme and topics.
• All submissions must be original and not previously published or presented elsewhere.
• Abstracts must be submitted in both English and Portuguese.

• 2. Abstract Length

• Long abstracts should be between 300 to 500 words (excluding references).

• 3. Formatting Guidelines

• Use a standard font (Times New Roman) in 12-point size.
• Line spacing should be set to 1.5.
• Margins should be 2.5 cm on all sides.
• Include a title that clearly reflects the content of your abstract.
• Reference style: Vancouver

• 4. Structure of the Abstract

• Title: A concise and descriptive title.
• Authors: List all authors with their affiliations.
• Background: Briefly introduce the topic and its significance.
• Purpose: Define the objective of the study.
• Methods: Outline the methodology used in your research.
• Results: Summarize key findings.
• Discussion: Discuss implications and relevance to the conference theme.
• Conclusion: Conclude with the main takeaway of your research.
• References: Include a limited number of key references (if applicable).

• 5. Submission Process

• Online Submission: Go to the conference website and navigate to the submission portal.
• Conference website: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=sprintcongress2025
• Create an Account: If you don’t already have one, register for an account.
• Upload Your Abstract: Follow the prompts to upload your long abstract as a Word document.

• 6. Deadline

• All long abstracts must be submitted by December 30, 2024. Late submissions will not be accepted.

• 7. Review Process

• All submissions will be peer-reviewed. You will be notified of the review results by January 15, 2024.

• 8. Presentation

• If accepted, you will be required to present your work in English during the conference. Further details will be provided in the notification email.

• 9. Publication of the long abstracts

• The accepted long abstracts will be published in the proceedings of the SPRINT Congress 2025, which will have an ISBN and be fully available online.

• 10. The twelve selected long abstracts – Publication in Human Movement (indexed in SCOPUS and Journal Citation Reports – emerging sources citation index)

• Twelve of the selected long abstracts, chosen by the Scientific Committee, will be invited to expand their abstracts into full articles for submission to a special issue of Human Movement (SCOPUS, CiteScore 2023: 2.5, 53rd percentile in Physical Therapy, Sports Therapy, and Rehabilitation | JCR – in May 2025 will receive the first impact factor). The publication fee of 300 euros will be covered by the authors. The special issue will undergo the standard peer-review process following submission, which will take place between February and April 2024.
