PASTES_2022 is a book entitled "Performance Assessment of Solar Thermal Energy Systems" which will be published in Springer Nature under "Energy Systems in Electrical Engineering" book Series. 

The demand of energy consumption is increasing drastically, which laid an extra burden on the fossil fuels to meet the energy demand. The combustion of fossil fuels produces carbon dioxide, which has adverse effect on climate, and also causes global warming. In such circumstances, solar energy attracted the interest of many researchers as an abundant, alternative, and clean source of energy. The book emphasizes the recent development that has been carried out in the field of solar thermal energy conversion for heating or cooling applications. This book is a complete blend of solar thermal technologies and systems. 

Book will cover (but not limited to): 

• Different performance augmentation techniques (such as vortex generators, jet impingement, artificial roughness, fin and baffles etc.) that are used for extracting the thermal energy from the solar radiation  
• Advancement in various solar thermal system which includes solar cooking, solar still, solar chimney, concentrating solar technologies, etc.
• Energy and exergy analysis of the solar thermal systems

Academic scientists, researchers and industrial practitioners are invited to submit quality chapter proposals for this edited book in the above discussed areas focusing on performance assessment of solar thermal energy systems. All the submissions must be original and should not be under review anywhere else for possible publication. The book chapter should contain 20-25 pages of content as per the Sprinter Nature book chapter template.
