Nordic AI Meet is a pan-Nordic initiative to bring early career researchers (Doctoral Candidates) from the Nordic countries together on a single platform to exchange research ideas and build collaboration. This year we join hands with Finnish AI Day in Helsinki, which targets additionally Postdoctoral/Senior Researchers apart from Industry experts.
Finnish AI Day is organized annually by the Finnish Center for Artificial Intelligence FCAI (fcai.fi) along with Helsinki Institute for Information Technology HIIT (hiit.fi) and the Finnish Artificial Intelligence Society (stes.fi).
Submission Guidelines
Researchers in the field of AI, Machine Learning, NLP, Robotics and applications of AI are invited to submit a short abstract for their current ongoing research work or past published research or research focus of their ongoing work. The researchers will be selected based on the brief abstract and will be invited to give a short talk or present a poster during the Nordic AI Meet + Finnish AI Day.
We have two tracks for submission this year.
a. Doctoral Candidates / Doctoral Researchers - Nordic AI Meet
b. Postdoctoral and Senior Researchers - Finnish AI Day
Submission Format
Please refer to the abstract template while preparing your abstract. Please follow the template instructions as evaluation is strictly based on the indicated parameters.
During the submission, you can also indicate if you are interested in publishing your (previously unpublished) work as a scientific paper in the Nordic Machine Intelligence Journal.
Deadlines
Please make sure you submit the abstract using Easychair by 15 May 2024.
Accepted submissions will be invited to present physically during the meeting, and you will be informed by email by June 10.
Those who opt to publish the paper in the Nordic Machine Intelligence Journal must submit the full paper by 1 September 2024.
Who Should Apply
We encourage PhD students and researchers from Nordic countries to apply.
Your research should be on the topic of AI, Machine Learning and Robotics. The purpose of Nordic AI Meet and Finnish AI Day is to provide a platform for researchers to learn and exchange notes with top experts and peers and build cross-border collaboration.
Evaluation
The Nordic AI Meet's and Finnish AI Day's program committee will evaluate the abstracts, and the best candidates will be invited to present the papers and posters.
