The Symposium on the Iberian Atlantic Margin (MIA) is a multidisciplinary scientific meeting between Portugal and Spain, held alternately every three years.
This symposium is an informal and open meeting, which aims to present and discuss the most recent methods and results of scientific research and activities carried out by researchers and postgraduate students, addressing the processes and evolution of the Iberian Atlantic Margin.
Submission Guidelines
Abstracts will be submitted on the EasyChair platform (MIA2025), and must be formatted according to the template available on the symposium website (mia.hidrografico.pt). The submission must indicate the scientific or thematic session to which the communication is directed, as well as the presentation format (oral or poster). The organization may change this preference, upon prior notification to the author, depending on the number of submissions received for each session.
The deadline for submission of abstracts is May 30, 2025. Initial submission of papers must be made in PDF format. After review by the Scientific Committee, and once accepted, authors must submit the final version in MS Word format, intended for editing in the Abstracts Volume.
- It is essential that at least one of the authors of each communication is registered for the symposium
